The breeding of our horses is not sacrificed for the sake of producing color. The bloodlines speak for them self. All of our mares are good using horses and are out of proven foundation bloodlines. All of our stallions are bread to perform/show or just use. Why not stand out in the crowd and ride a Buckskin, Dun, or Grullo.

GOLDEN JAZ MUSIC2000 Homozygous Grullo Stallion Jaz carries the homozygous Dun/Grullo gene. The base color of your mare will help determine if your foal is going to be a Grullo or Dun. On a black base mare he will produce a Grullo. On a bay or dark bay mare it will likely be a dark chocolate Grullo or Dun. On a sorrel based mare Jaz produces Duns. If you add the dilute gene into any base color you will likely get a variation of the Grullo/Dun with a chance of getting the rare Silver Grullo. All of Jaz's foals are loaded with Dun factor. They have been about 50-50 between Grullo or Duns with a lot of them too close to call. Jaz is foundation bred Poco Bueno/Music Mount. The topside of his pedigree is all Poco Bueno through Little Steel Dust (grandson). The bottom side is Music Mount and Snipper Reed. Jaz is very stout, athletic, and has a good mind. His first foal crop is coming 3 years old, I have broke and been riding half dozen of them. All of them have good minds, travel well, and are very athletic. Blue Apache War is a line bred Blue Valentine/Joe Hancock Blue Roan Stallion. We purchased Powder as a yearling from a ranch on the Powder River near Arvada, Wyoming. He is a true ranch raised horse with a very gentle disposition. He has in his bloodlines such horses as Blue Belle Warrior, Blue Apache Warrior (Haythorn Ranch), Gooseberry, Blue Apache Hancock, Leo Hancock Hayes, Dogface, Leo, and Poco Buneo. Powder's bloodlines have Blue Valentine 3X and Joe Hancock 6X. We purchased this stallion to cross him on our Poco Bueno and Music Mount dun and grullo mares. Our intent is to provide bigger bone, typical all around ranch and trail horses and some of those pretty roans in our band. We will offer Blue Apache War to a limited number of outside mares in the 2007 breeding season. |
